“Three Maries” (published by @Ars Lamina) is the book of the month.

The #ReadingContemporaryMacedonianAuthors campaign is very important for at least two reasons: first, it drew attention to us, the Macedonian authors, since we were not read enough despite having excellent production, and second, it brought us and our works back to where we organically belong – the library. No one objects to meetings and promotions in cafés, bookstores, and similar places, but belonging in the library is something entirely different, natural. I congratulate you on your perseverance. These were the first words with which Olivera Ćorveziroska began last night’s conversation. Her novel “Three Maries”, for which she also received the Racin Award, marked the beginning of the 4th cycle of our #ReadingContemporaryMacedonianAuthors campaign. During the evening, attendees had the opportunity to hear about the process of creating the novel, the inspirations behind the characters, and the challenges faced by an author. It was particularly inspiring to hear about the experiences in the Macedonian literary scene and the importance of the reader community. The campaign continues with many more interesting authors and events, aiming to promote contemporary Macedonian literature and encourage people to discover the joy of reading at home, in libraries, and anywhere they can enjoy books. The conversation was moderated by Aleksandra Jurukovska, and excerpts were read by actor Andrej Serafimovski.
