Our dear Lidija, the beloved librarian of many generations of readers from Aerodrom and beyond, welcomed the team from Kanal 5 Television last week. Together with journalist Bisera Lovacheva, they talked about the “Jane Sandanski” Library (behind Capitol) and why it is one of the most active libraries in Skopje. With great love, Lidija spoke about the meaning of books in today’s digital age and subtly offered wide recommendations for all generations. One beautiful thought she shared ✍️: “To be a librarian is to be a beacon in the ocean of information.” During the conversation, Lidija also highlighted the numerous library activities – from children’s workshops and meetings with authors to programs for adult readers – all aimed at encouraging book lovers to discover the magic of reading. She reminded everyone that the library is not just a place for books, but a community where anyone can find inspiration, knowledge, and friends. The team at the City Library truly has wonderful beacons.
